Article I. Name and Purpose
Section 1. League Name
The official name of this league shall be Mulligans Second Chance League (MSCL); hereafter referred to as “the League”.
Section 2. Purpose and Mission
The League is formed with the intent to foster a competitive, engaging, and fair fantasy gaming environment for all participants. The primary goal is to promote strategic gameplay, sportsmanship, and enjoyment among members.
Article II. Membership
Section 1. Eligibility and Membership
Membership is open to individuals invited by the Commissioner or designated League Administrators. Members must demonstrate a commitment to fair play, abide by the League rules, and maintain active participation throughout the season.
Section 2. Member Conduct
All members shall adhere to the League’s standards of conduct, both within gameplay and in interactions with other members. Members are expected to conduct themselves respectfully, upholding the spirit of competition and cooperation.
Section 3. Membership Status
Members in good standing are those who comply with League bylaws, contribute to gameplay, and remain current on any dues or fees. Members may be removed at the discretion of the Commissioner for violations of League rules or standards of conduct, as outlined herein.
Article III. League Structure
Section 1. Commissioner and League Officers
The League shall be administered by a Commissioner, who acts as the primary authority on matters relating to the League’s operations, disputes, and rule interpretations. Additional roles, such as League Officers or Administrators, may be appointed by the Commissioner to assist in specific administrative functions. The commissioner can not participate in league play, nor have any ownership in a team franchise.
Section 2. Duties of the Commissioner
The Commissioner shall:
- Oversee all League operations and enforce bylaws.
- Serve as the final authority in disputes, rule clarifications, and disciplinary actions.
- Facilitate member engagement and ensure adherence to League guidelines.
Article IV. Draft and Gameplay Regulations
Section 1. Draft Process
The League Draft shall be conducted annually on a date determined by the Commissioner. Draft order shall be established through a randomized method unless otherwise specified by the Commissioner.
Section 2. Gameplay and Scoring
League gameplay shall adhere to the official scoring system established prior to the season start. Any adjustments to scoring parameters must be approved by the Commissioner and communicated to all members.
Section 3. Trade Policies
Trades between members must be conducted fairly and in the spirit of enhancing competitive balance. All trades must be submitted in writing to the commissioner. All trades are subject to review by the Commissioner or a designated Trade Committee, who may veto any trade that is deemed detrimental to the integrity of the League. Trades have atleast a 7 day turn around, but will not exceed 13 days for ratification.
Article V. Fees and Payouts
Section 1. Entry Fees
Entry fees shall be established prior to the start of each season. All fees collected shall be managed by the Commissioner and applied exclusively toward prizes, administrative costs, or charitable contributions as designated by League consensus.
Section 2. Prize Distribution
Payouts will be awarded to members based on final season standings, tournament results, or other established criteria. The specific breakdown and amount of prizes shall be determined by the Commissioner and outlined prior to the commencement of the season.
Article VI. Dispute Resolution and Rule Violations
Section 1. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, members are encouraged to resolve issues amicably and directly. Should further mediation be necessary, the Commissioner shall serve as the final arbiter of all League disputes.
Section 2. Rule Violations and Penalties
Violations of League bylaws, gameplay rules, or conduct standards may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the League, at the discretion of the Commissioner. Members found to be in violation of these bylaws shall be notified of their infraction via email correspondence and given an opportunity to address the matter before further action is taken.
Article VII. Amendments
Section 1. Proposal of Amendments
Amendments to these bylaws may be proposed by any member in good standing and must be submitted in writing via email to the Commissioner.
Section 2. Ratification of Amendments
Amendments require a two-thirds majority vote of all members in good standing for approval. Upon ratification, amendments shall take immediate effect unless otherwise specified.
